SnowSignal

Terms of use

Updated October 11, 2026

SnowSignal provides ski-resort and forecast information for personal planning. By using the website, app, or service, you agree to use it lawfully and to these terms.

Informational service

Forecasts, rankings, live-status indicators, terrain facts, and recommendations may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. They are not safety advice and do not replace official resort operations, avalanche bulletins, weather warnings, patrol instructions, closure notices, or emergency guidance. You remain responsible for travel and mountain decisions.

Availability and changes

Forecast length and available weather fields vary by model, region and provider coverage; Premium forecasts extend up to 16 days where available. Operating reports depend on current supported sources. Features described as planned or in development are not guaranteed until released. Service changes do not cancel an existing Apple subscription or remove your applicable consumer rights.

Data and attribution

Weather, map, catalog, imagery, and live-status information may come from third parties and remains subject to applicable provider terms and attribution. You may not misuse the service, bypass access controls, overload providers, or present SnowSignal data as an official resort or safety report.

The ski catalogue is separately available under ODbL 1.0 through our data credits and free catalogue download. Catalogue reuse follows that licence; these service terms do not restrict rights granted by the open-data licence.

Subscriptions

Where enabled, a complimentary Premium preview starts on the first verified online app open without a SnowSignal account or purchase. Its expiry is displayed in the app. It does not automatically renew or charge you; after expiry, Regular access continues unless you separately hold a paid Premium subscription. Reinstalling with the same Apple Account does not restart the preview. When Premium access ends, only the first three saved resorts in your My Resorts order are kept automatically; additional saved resorts are removed and Regular feature limits apply. Internet access and App Store verification are required to establish or restore preview access.

Premium Weekly and Season Pass (three months) are auto-renewable subscriptions purchased through Apple. The app displays the applicable price, duration and renewal terms before purchase. Manage or cancel renewal through your Apple subscription settings; Restore Purchases checks access using the Apple Account that purchased the subscription. The complimentary 48-hour preview is not an auto-renewable subscription. Purchases are subject to Apple’s Standard License Agreement and applicable Apple purchase terms. No subscription is sold through this website.
